Membership & Volunteerism
“ And above all things have fervent love for one another . . . Be hospitable to one another without grumbling, as each one has received a gift, minister to one another . . . That in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ."
I Peter 4:8-11
Membership Services
Purpose: To identify new prospective members and serve those new in membership. We encourage those with a desire to be active in all areas of CCC to commit to this body of believers through membership. The membership team provides materials for classes, arranges the time, place and provides hospitality and conducts the “Getting to know you” interviews of each new member. The membership process is complete when the prospective member attends membership classes and a worship service receiving the covenant of membership and the Right Hand of Fellowship from pastors and in the presence of the congregation. The process of folding-in new members continues over several months to insure their care and growth in the body of Christ.
Hospitality Ministry
Purpose: To provide a warm friendly place for worshippers to be greeted, answer questions and provide directions. These greeters are often the first official representative of Jesus Christ and His love seen by people entering God’s house. Members and visitors feel welcome when they receive a warm smile and a friendly greeting.
Publicity & Community Awareness
Purpose: To present to our community at large who we are, why we exist and to extend a compelling message that will entice them to come.
We use newspapers, electronic media (internet & web page), radio, yellow pages and cable TV to reach the entire community with the gospel message.
Parking Control
Purpose: To provide direction for parking to all worshippers during special events of the community and CCC events. Always endeavoring to make the very first contact for worshippers a warm pleasant experience by having a smile and friendly greeting. The tone is set for everything else that is to happen at CCC.
