Everyone

90th Anniversary Service… on Sunday, November 16th, starting at 9am. We will celebrate with a special continental breakfast and service that will be held in the Worship Center. We invite you all to come and join us as we commemorate this important milestone in the life of our congregation.  Please sign up on the patio, so we know how many will be attending.  Also, if you would like to donate funds to offset the costs of this event, please put a note on your check for the 90th anniversary.

International Day of Prayer For the Persecuted Church… We will have a prayer meeting, Sunday, November 2nd, at 6pm, in the Sanctuary.  We will watch film clips from Open Doors Ministries, and uplift our persecuted brothers and sisters in prayer.  Please sign up on the patio to pray for next two weeks for three to four nations on the world watch list (fasting optional).   You will receive a solidarity wristband.

You Can Still Join a Growth Group… At CCC, one of the most important ways we celebrate Jesus and what He has done for us is by being in fellowship with other believers in a Growth Group.  They consist of five to twelve people.  Currently we have spaces for couple or individuals to join a group in La Costa or Central Carlsbad.  You may get information and sign-up on the patio Sunday.

#Ignite3C... Young Adults meet on the second and fourth Friday of the month, from 6:30-8pm, in the High School Room (206).  We will learn how the Bible applies to our every day life.

A Walk in the Word… You may still join this Thursday study from 6:30-8pm, in room 202.  Come join us for an exciting study of the book of Nehemiah.  This study focuses leadership, prayer, and dealing with conflict.   All you need is your Bible, a pen, and a pad.  This study is open to couples and singles.

Children

Communion Sundays… Beginning Sunday there will be no church time for grades 1st-5th on the first Sunday of each month. The children will remain in the service for a time of family worship and to observe the Lord’s Supper. It is a wonderful opportunity for you as parents to instruct and guide your children through this sacred remembrance.

Church Time Programs… Children, under two, are in the church nursery; two and three year olds go to room 6; and four-five year olds are in room 8. Elementary children go to the church service until they are dismissed, prior to the sermon, to go to room 28. They will be escorted by church staff.

Women

Christmas Brunch Table Hostesses Sign Up Sunday…  We welcome and need your participation as table hostesses for our annual Christmas Brunch.  You may sign-up to host a table after the Worship Service, on the patio.  For those of you who are new to this event, a table hostess sets a table for eight with her own dinner plates, glasses, flatware and centerpiece, with a Christmas theme. Each hostess receives a free brunch ticket and tables will be assigned on a “first come, first serve” basis.  If you are unable to sign up in person, please call Brenda Nelson (760-439-7517). Table hostessing is a ministry and we need returning hostesses and first time hostesses to help make this year’s event a success! The Brunch tickets will be available for purchase on Sunday, November 2nd.

Men

Men of Encouragement Bible Study... on Saturdays, from 7:30am-8:30am, in room 5. Coffee and donuts are provided. You bring the fellowship and dialog.

Missions

The Treasure/Audio Bible Program... If you have not picked up your ‘Change the World Coin Box’ yet or need a replacement, please do so at the Mission Table in the Lobby.  There is also a flyer that explains this exciting ongoing outreach of CCC and World Missions. When your Coin Boxes become full, please turn in to be emptied at the Mission Table on the first Sunday of every Month.

Welcome home Pastor Max… you were missed!

Letters from our missionaries... Eric and Anne Zander, Daniel and Lucinda Kahn, Child Evangelism Fellowship, Aaron and Carrien Blue, and Don and Mary Jo McCurry, are available to pick up in the lobby.

Save The Date… Friday, November 7th, from 7-9pm, in the Worship Center.   Wycliffe Bible Translator, James Ashley, will report on Wycliffe’s progress toward their goal of beginning Bible translations for every language in the world by 2025 – just 11 years from now – using advanced computer and other technology tools. Complimentary dinner tickets are available on the patio after church.   Tables will be hosted by CCC members who have been blessed by attending these bi-annual dinners.  A free-will offering will be taken for translation projects.

Students

All youth, grades 6th - 12th grade... meet for Sunday School in the high school room at 9am.  Our study for the summer is Famous.  We're looking at the life of David, how he lived to make God famous, and how we can live to let others see Jesus in us.

Youth Group-The Cove... On Wednesday nights, from 6:00-8pm, students from 6th–12th grade will meet in the high school room for snacks, games, music and teaching time.  It will be a fun time of growing together as a group and growing in God’s Word.
