Worship & Music Ministry
Carlsbad Community Church is committed to a blended approach to worship. We believe that worship is an all-encompassing relationship with the Triune God,whereby we respond with adoration, love, respect and service. We have a variety of opportunities for all ages to become involved in ministry including choirs, ensembles and instrumental groups.
Celebration Choir
This Choir is for teenagers through senior adults. It ministers most Sundays
during the worship service throughout the year. It also presents a special
Christmas outreach musical each December and a Spring or Summer Musical.
Rehearsals are on Thursday nights from 7-9pm in the Worship Center. Childcare is provided. Call Pastor Hoyer if you would like to join this wonderful ministry of helping lead our church in worship!
Vocal Ensembles
- We also have small vocal groups that minister on Sundays and for special services.
- Must be a part of the music ministry to be considered for these groups

Praise Band
This team consists of vocalists and instrumentalists (guitars, keyboards and drums). Rehearsals are on Wednesday nights. This team leads the contemporary portion of our blended worship service on Sundays.
The Orchestra
The orchestra serves as musical underscore for the choir and is enjoyed by the congregation during the Sunday morning worship service as well as the Christmas Outreach Musical and Spring or Summer Musical. Auditions are required. Rehearsals are usually on Saturdays at 9am. Come join in on this exciting ministry and use your talent to praise the Lord! Contact Pastor Hoyer at the church office.
Joy Choir
This is our graded children’s choir program. This is for ages 4– grade 6. There are also opportunities for Junior High students to be involved in drama and dance. They minister in our special presentations at Christmas with the Celebration Choir and Orchestra and in a Spring Musical that they put on by themselves. Rehearsals are on Thursdays from 4-5:15 pm during the school year (September—April.) Proclaiming Arts at Carlsbad Community Church is for Junior High and High School students to develop their talents in drama and dance for the Lord. They meet at the same time as our Joy Choir on Thursday afternoons.
HandBells
This is a wonderful ministry for those who have piano experience. This group ministers on Sundays throughout the year as well as for our Christmas program and special services throughout the year. Rehearsals are on Mondays from 6:30 pm—7:30 pm. Contact Pastor Hoyer at the church office to inform him of your interest in this ministry.
